I moved to the beach cities about eight months ago and have tried every small Mexican restaurant I could find. This hidden gem is the best by far and still relatively unknown. The atmosphere is fantastic, and despite its small size, the service is exceptional. They serve delicious chips and salsa, and the food is outstanding. Once people discover this place, it's sure to become a local favorite.

The food was very good and prices were good also compared to any other local Mexican place. Small restaurant parking is limited but should be able to find street parking if needed. I ordered carne asada tacos and they definitely didn't skimp on the meat. It was overflowing, my coworkers got the wet burrito and they were huge. So worth the money and tasty .

Wife and I went to original El Amigo for shrimp ceviche; however, we learned that the location on Manhattan Beach Blvd doesn't have Ceviche. So we came to this location and enjoyed my Steak Ranchero with rice and beans and my wife had her large bowl of ceviche. Delicious!
